Tina
is originally from Germany and she immigrated to the US in
1986. She is married to her husband Rick for 26 years and has a 24
year old son and a 22 year old daughter. She lives with her
family in Portage and has several pets- A black Labrador
Retriever named Moses (Moe) who accompanies her to work every day, a black domestic short
haired cat named Baby and one gerbil which belongs to her
daughter.
She
lost her beloved Jake on February 14th 2011, a black
Labrador Mix who now rests on the bookshelf behind the front
desk at the shop and in her heart forever.

Tina has
been grooming dogs professionally since 2003 at Arbor View
Animal Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana. She has terminated her employment there on December 31st 2008 to open her own
Grooming Establishment located in Portage (the old Portage
Animal Clinic)
Along
with her professional grooming services she also offers pet
photography and pet related gifts.
She
loves animals, arts and crafts, photography and she
maintains several art and pet-related websites
where she also offers her work for sale. She is currently
learning Spanish, which will be her third language.
Her
husband Rick is a Millwright and works at US Steel- Midwest
Division in Portage. Her son Chris works for the Valparaiso School System where he installs
and maintains all of their computers. He also repairs
computers for people in his spare time.
Her
daughter Tiffany received an academic scholarship at Indiana
University where she is currently pursuing an education in
Business and Art/Photography. In her spare time she answers
the phone at the shop, sets up appointments and takes and
processes the photos of the dogs.
