Meet the Artist Tina Nichols

Tina Nichols was born and raised in Germany and immigrated to the USA in 1986. She lives in Portage, Indiana with her husband and her two beautiful children, her black Labrador Retriever and her cat.

Arts and Crafts have always been a big part of Tina Nichols' life. At an early age her grandmother introduced her to various art forms and taught her to look at nature in a special way. She has always liked to work with natural materials and has enjoyed drawing and painting ever since she can remember.

Her favorite medium is painting with acrylics, water colors and graphite pencils. With the advancements in technology she has also discovered digital art and has created mouse drawn paintings with her computer. Her popular "Tinibaybeez" have been sold to collectors in the U.S., Europe, Australia and Asia.

Besides her love for painting she also likes to sculpt, knit, crochet, sew and design unique crafts. She is also a professional dog groomer which has inspired her delightful dog art.

Tinibaybeez.com has been online since June of 2000 and is a division of Gift World. Gift World started out as a home based business in 1994 and is  located in Portage , Indiana and still operates from that location.

At the beginning, Gift World offered hand made crafts for sale at craft shows and local gift shops.

About 2 years later, Gift World expanded into the wholesale gift market and with the help of Sales Reps, the small company continued to grow steadily for 4 years. In June of 2000 Gift World created a web presence and went Online as Tinibaybeez.com

For the next 4 years, Gift World's Tinibaybeez Country Angels and Collectibles continued to sell their hand made crafts through Sales Reps and Show Rooms to the point of pure exhaustion. At that time Tina decided to downsize the operation and seized the help of Sales Reps. Tina needed a change and she started to pursue a new career as a professional dog groomer in August of 2003. Now she works full time as a dog groomer and continues to produce her crafts on a part time basis.

All orders for her products are solely generated from her websites and word-of-mouth.

This change has allowed her to concentrate more on creating new designs and to discover new avenues.

Inspired by her new line of work, she created a second website in 2006 Tinibaybeez Original Art , a website for dog lovers. The products offered there are produced and shipped through Cafe Press, using her original designs and art work.

In August of 2007 Tina created and published a third website, Petstarsofamerica.com  A website dedicated to proud pet owners of all ages!
